Landtech Contractors built its business and reputation by being the progressive commercial maintenance leader in the Aurora, Colorado area. Garrett, General Manager of Commercial Maintenance, and Anthony, Operations Manager, have always focused on how they could improve efficiency and elevate performance across every jobsite. This led them to explore innovative solutions beyond traditional gas-powered equipment.


Anthony led the evaluation of battery-powered outdoor power equipment brands to find a system that could deliver the strength and reliability they demand, focusing on run time, power, and cost efficiency. “We wanted tools that could keep up with our crews and our schedule,” Anthony said.
The Landtech team compared three leading cordless brands in head-to-head field demos. Crews quickly found that EGO Commercial offered the right mix of power, run time, and versatility. The ability to switch any battery from one tool to another without interruption kept them moving efficiently from start to finish. During testing, an EGO Commercial battery dropped in front of Anthony, who stated “I thought it was going to break, but it didn’t.”


After multiple tests, EGO Commercial was the clear winner. “The power and run time outperformed other brands we tested,” Garrett said. Referring to how long the batteries lasted, Anthony stated, “EGO was superior in their length of use on the blowers.”
With the PGXTM Charging system, Landtech was able to charge more than 70 batteries overnight and monitor them in real time with the Fleet app, while working in the field. This allowed crews to begin work without fueling or maintenance delays. “Our uptime improved dramatically,” Anthony said. “It’s as simple as grabbing a battery and going.” Garrett added.
EGO Commercial met Landtech’s performance goals while providing scalability for future expansion. Transitions between tasks became faster and smoother, which led to increased productivity. The crew members experienced less fatigue during long days in large part due to EGO Commercial’s electric motor, with less vibration than gas-powered motors, and carbon fiber construction, which stood up to heavy use.
What also stood out to Landtech was EGO’s legacy of innovation. Unlike gas-centric competitors that only recently branched into battery power, EGO has always been rooted in cordless equipment manufacturing, pushing the envelope in performance and design. “Other manufacturers are trying to catch up to that,” Anthony noted.

From the first day in the field, Landtech’s crews noticed an immediate improvement. EGO Commercial tools provided instant power that matched or exceeded gas performance without the fumes or constant upkeep.
Noise reduction and environmental gains were equally significant. Crews could start earlier without disturbing nearby businesses or residents. “Using EGO Commercial helps reduce emissions and noise on every site,” Garrett added. “Our customers notice the difference. It’s quieter, cleaner, but just as powerful.”
